U.S. Marshal Frank Durant’s career has been anything but stellar, thanks to his nemesis Ernesto Rigal. Dubbed “Houdini the Hairdresser”, Ernesto has eluded capture time and again and made Frank the laughing stock of the force. Then, on a family vacation in Mexico meant to save his marriage and win back his daughter, Frank finds Ernesto hiding out in the very place he is staying.
Stuck getting his fugitive to the border with his family in tow, Frank comes to a horrible realization: the person with the answers to his family’s problems is his fugitive. On the surface it’s a marshal-and-fugitive story; at heart, it’s a love story wrapped in a family vacation comedy.
